VA Chapter - Women in GIS Fall Social

  • 21 Oct 2026
  • 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Brambly Park in Richmond

This will be the evening before the VAMLIS GIS Conference, so bring any questions, favorite sessions, or just yourselves! This informal gathering is an opportunity for women working in GIS and geospatial fields to connect, network, and build community. We'll have light appetizers and a reserved space on the patio for conversation and networking. Refreshments are provided by VAMLIS!!

Please feel free to forward this invitation to any women GIS professionals who may be interested. Attendance is open to all women in GIS—membership in the Women in GIS organization is not required. I will share Virginia Cooperative Extension and coastal zone mapping resources. We encourage attendees to also bring GIS resources (such as a printout with a QR code) to share with the group so that we can learn from each other while we network.

2026 Daylight Saving in the U.S. runs from March 8 through November 1, 2026.
The following areas do not observe Daylight Saving and remain in Standard time year-round: Arizona (except the Navajo Nation), Hawaii,
